Piano Rebuilding + Refurbishing
The Difference Between Rebuilding & Refurbishing
Refurbishing is the process of bringing a piano to its best possible condition with the parts it currently has. This usually involves reshaping the hammers, tightening screws, lubricating the moving parts and contact points, full regulation, and tuning. This is usually a service for pianos older than 10+ years.
Rebuilding is the process of replacing the inside parts that need to be replaced such as hammers, dampers, tuning pins, strings, keytops, etc. This service is usually done on much older or antique pianos.
